An Apothecary in the Shetland Isles
Soapery 21 is an apothecary in the Shetland Isles, creating botanical skincare, aromatherapy blends and seasonal scent in small batches.
Inspired by the plants, landscapes and changing seasons around us, we work with plant based ingredients and carefully chosen essential oils to create our own blends and products
Some botanicals are grown in our own garden, while other ingredients are carefully sourced. Everything is created with a balance of function, scent and the simple pleasure of using something thoughtfully made.
Our Approach to Scent & Making
With training in aromatherapy and natural skincare, I create essential oil blends and formulate skincare with both function and scent in mind. I love exploring how individual essential oils work together to create a particular character - fresh, herbal, floral, woody, warming or calming and how that scent can become part of an everyday ritual.
Inspired by the Seasons
The work in the Apothecary changes with the seasons. From fresh Spring and Summer scents to warming Autumn and winter blends. Seasonal editions give me a chance to explore different plants, essential oils and ideas in small batches.
Our Values
All Soapery 21 products are vegan-friendly, palm oil-free, without parabens, SLS, or harsh synthetics. Packaging is recycled, reusable, or recyclable, and we minimise plastic wherever possible. Every order contributes to a greener planet, with a tree planted via Ecologi for each purchase. Our approach reflects a belief that mindful self-care should care for the world around us as much as it does the individual.

our products are made in small batches in Shetland, with careful attention to formulation, safety and quality. From botanical skincare and soap to aromatherapy blends and home fragrance, each product is developed and made with care in our apothecary here in Shetland.

SOAPERY 21 is rooted in a love of plants, scent, simple rituals and the changing seasons. It's where I get to explore, experiment and create, drawing inspiration from my garden, Shetland and the natural world around me.
