I don’t know about you, but I’m not quite ready to let go of summer just yet! The garden is still full of colour, the evenings are still golden, and I’m holding onto those sunny days a little longer.
As much as I love autumn – the cosy nights, the rich colours, and the comfort of home – the change between seasons can sometimes feel a bit sudden. That’s where aromatherapy comes in. Blending bright, uplifting scents with grounding, cosy notes is one of my favourite ways to make the shift feel gentle.

Here are a few of the SOAPERY 21 blends I’ve been reaching for lately:
Blend no. 6 SLEEPY
I love this one for quiet evenings. Lavender and Clary Sage help calm the mind, and Cedarwood brings a little grounding. Perfect for settling into the new season without feeling rushed.
Blend no. 2 RELAX
A lovely lift during the day! Bergamot keeps things bright, while Lavender soothes. I like to diffuse it or use it in the evening to create a little ritual that helps me ease into autumn.
Blend no. 5 ROSY
A burst of sunshine when you need it most. Sweet Orange reminds me of summer, Geranium adds gentle warmth, and Ylang Ylang makes everything feel comforting. I often reach for this blend when I want to carry a little summer with me.
A Few Simple Tips
Layer your blends – a little Sleepy in the evening, Rosy during the day, can balance your mood beautifully.
Create tiny rituals – light a candle, inhale from a rollerball, or diffuse oils while taking a moment for yourself.
Blend the seasons – mix uplifting citrus with grounding woods to keep summer’s energy while welcoming autumn.
